Height: 6'8"
Weight: 980 lbs (445 kg)
Eyes: Green
Hair: None
Skin: Green and scaly
Unusual Features: Five fingers per hand, but two toes per foot. He also has webbed ears and a ridged brow.
Equipment: No known equipment.
Transportation: No known transportation.
Weapons: No known weapons.
Strength Level: The Abomination's superhuman strength surpasses that of
the Hulk when the Hulk is not angered; the upward limit of what the Abomination
can press is over 100 tons but not incalculably high. However, unlike the Hulk in
most of his incarnations, the Abomination's strength does not increase as he becomes
angry (the Abomination's strength does not nearly approach that of the enraged Hulk).
Known Powers and Abilities: The gamma radiation that transformed Blonsky into the Abomination
fortified his cellular structure and added several hundred pounds of pure muscle to his body. Thus the
Abomination has vast superhuman strength, surpassing at his peak, the power of the Hulk when he is
at normal adrenaline-level. His fists are capable of striking with a maximum force equivalent to 500
pounds of TNT. His legs are strong enough to enable him to leap a maximum height of 870 feet straight
up into the air, and a maximum distance of 700 feet. The Abomination is among the most powerful mortal
beings on Earth.
Blonsky's transformation into the Abomination substantially increased his bone/muscle mass and height
(he stands 6 feet, 8 inches tall). The resultant levels of superhuman strength, endurance and durability
surpass those of the Hulk when the Hulk is not angered; the upward limit of what the Abomination can
press is over 100 tons but not incalculably high. However, unlike the Hulk in most of his incarnations,
the Abomination's strength does not increase as he becomes angry (the Abomination's strength does not
nearly approach that of the enraged Hulk). Like the Hulk, the Abomination can use his superhumanly
strong leg muscles to leap great distances, covering up to two miles in a single bound.
Unlike the Hulk, the Abomination's transformation has proved stable: he cannot change back and forth
between his human state and his superhuman state, despite his wishes to the contrary. The Abomination
has proven able to regenerate lost eyes and recover from other forms of massive cellular damage. His
ability to regenerate tissue is much slower than that of the Hulk. The Abomination is resistant to
extremes of temperature, and can hold his breath for extended periods of time; in the case of lack
of air or heat, he may enter a coma-like state of suspended animation.
Origin: Very
little has been revealed about Emil Blonsky's
activities before he became the Abomination. It is known that
he was born in Zagreb, Yugoslavia. At some point, he became
a spy who attempted to sabotaged US missiles. Also, he was
married and had a wife named Nadia. During one of his missions,
he secretly observed Bruce attempting to bombard himself with
an overdose of gamma radiation to kill himself before he could
again become the Hulk (who at the time was being mentally
coerced by the Stranger into causing destruction).
However, Bruce was
taken into custody before he could activate the device. While he was
investigating the device, Emil accidentally activated it and was transformed
into the Abomination. He then smashed the device to prevent anybody
from gaining power like his (which incidentally saved him from the overdose
which Banner intended for himself). Initially, he was vastly more powerful
than the Hulk and nearly beat the Hulk to death in their first encounter.
After the Hulk was revived, he changed back into Bruce who constructed
a machine to drain the gamma radiation from the Abomination.
However, before
all of the radiation could be drained from the Abomination, Bruce became
excited, changed into the Hulk and destroyed the machine. After the
Hulk defeated the Abomination, the Abomination was taken into custody
by the Stranger to perform interstellar missions for him. (At some unrevealed
point, Nadia was misinformed that her husband was killed).
What He's Up To Now: Recently the Abomination's DNA and gamma-signature was attached
to the death of Betty Banner's death. Whether Blonsky willingly or knowingly
participated in this dastardly deed has yet to be revealed. Needless
to say that when Bruce finds out about Blonsky's involvement he's probably
going to give him a headache they don't make aspirin for.
