Origin
Very little is known about Haunter. Presumably a Gothamite, she at some point became acquainted with the Scarecrow. A serial killer, she was imprisoned at Arkham by Batman after at least six murders.
Creation
Haunter was created by Scott Wilson and Bilquis Evely. She made her first appearance in Batman Annual #1.
Major Story Arcs
The Insecurity Diversion
Escaping Arkham with the help of Scarecrow’s diversion, Haunter makes her way to Scarecrow, pursued, unbeknownst to her, by Batman. She attempts to kill him using her powers, but Batman reveals that she did not actually ever have his DNA. He poisons both her and Scarecrow with a fear toxin derivative that paralyzes them. Haunter is returned to Arkham.
