When Lonny’s friend Cody Kingdom was killed during a mugging Lonny swore revenge. Unfortunately for Lonny, he made that commitment in front of Cody’s deranged father Cole Kingdom. When the GCPD were unable to find Lonny’s killer, Cole enlisted the help of his brother Frank and friend TJ to find the killer.
Sometime later, Cole grabbed Lonny and brought him to Cody’s old apartment. There Lonny saw two men bound and gagged. Cole asked Lonny if the two men were the ones who murdered Cody. Lonny was unable to identify them but Cole then explained that they had to be the murderers because they attempted to rob Cody’s old apartment and had a key on them that unlocked the apartment door. Out of fear, Lonny did not tell Cole that the apartment door’s lock was broken and that most key’s could open it. Cole then murdered the two men in front of Lonny. Rather then go to the police Lonny allowed himself to be dragged into a bizarre crusade that Cole undertook. Along with TJ and Frank, Mr Kingdom decided to arm himself and show Gotham City what justice really was. Calling themselves Rough Justice, the men put on costumes and began murdering the criminals of Gotham city in an attempt to clean up the streets.
Lonny felt guilty after murdering a carjacker with his flamethrower and tried to run, but the group would not allow it. Mr. Kingdom, had a belief that his quest was part of the Apocalypse and forced Lonny to continue alongside the others. During an altercation between Rough Justice and Batman, Lonny escaped the groups clutches. He went to the apartment of his friends Julia Stanisslawski and was able to hide there for a while. The GCPD in their investigation of Rough Justice found a ring that Lonny had left at a crime scene. They were able to determine that Stanisslawski had made the ring and when Detective Ehrlich came to interview her, Lonny fled to the streets where he was found and kidnapped by Mr. Kingdom.
Lonny remained Kingdom’s prisoner until the GCPD were able to track down Rough Justice’s hide out. Frank Kingdom died in a firefight with the GCPD while Cole and TJ died in a ransoming gone bad, leaving Lonny behind to explain everything to the police and face the consequences of his actions.
