On his home planet of Nebulos, Hi-Q was a genius computer programmer and designer, producing many technological innovations for his people. He joined the Autobot cause and was binary bonded to the Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, transforming into his Powermaster engine. Hi-Q was much more than a mere power source however giving Prime scientific skill and advice.
