History:

Ivan led the Russian invasion force earned a degree in ancient history  from the University of Moscow.  He modeled many of the battle techniques after the ancient Scythians. They were a fierce barbaric horsemen sacrificed every hundredth man taken into war to their gods. War was their main business – they neither plowed nor sowed – being nomads they traveled extensively, inhabiting a region rather than establishing definite boundaries. They broke through the barrier of the Caucasus in 632 BC and swept down like a swarm of locusts upon Assyria.

For Ivan this was his chance to relive history. He often called his troops Scythians to motivate them for battle. As Ivan gave the order to attack he imagined himself leading the ancient tribe of warriors. Ivan was quick to point out the Iranian connection with his Iranian allies. The language of the Scythians was a form of Iranian, one of the branches of the Indo-European languages.  As he contemplated the battle – he envisioned the Russian paratroopers ascending from the sky, like the coming of a storm that could not be predicted or stopped. Covering the land of Israel – destroying this plague on the land once and for all! Little did he know that the God of Heaven had anticipated they move before he annals of time.  All of their efforts would be brought to naught. No one would be able to stand against the divine plan of God.
