Jonathan Stone was a good friend of Hal Jordan‘s father, Martin Jordan. He helped Hal get into the Air Force test flight program because of his close relationship with Hal’s father although he didn’t really think much of the young man. He has always been firm and very strict in his orders as a military man as he runs Edwards base. Stone was quick to figure out Hal’s alter ego when Green Lantern rescued Edwards from an alien attack. He has been punched in the face twice by Jordan, but his respect for the man has done nothing if not grown.
