A flirtatious Irish assassin, Anna Williams is one of two daughters fathered by Richard Williams. Her sister being Nina Williams. As a child, Anna was taught to fight by her mother, and Nina by her father. While Anna was taught Aikido by her mother, Nina was taught and trained to be an assassin, and in doing so gained the affection of her father, while he would neglect Anna, thus spawning the epic rivalry that would ensue between Anna and Nina. Anna learned her Aikido techniques from her mother, who was a national Aikido champion. Her father, Richard Williams, taught Nina assassination techniques, but neglected to teach them to Anna. Due to the hatred spawned from the jealousy of Nina and her fathers relationship, Anna entered The King of Iron Fist Tournament in order to battle her sister. During the second Iron Fist Tournament Anna is personally hired by Kazuya Mishima to act as his bodyguard alongside other skilled and competitive fighters Bruce Irvin and sumo fighter Ganryu. At the end of the second King of the Iron Fist Tournament Anna’s sister Nina was placed into a Cryogenic Sleep project headed up by genius and world renown scientist Doctor Boskonovitch. Whether it be because of sibling rivalry or some form of sisterly bond, Anna volunteers to undergo the experimental treatment granted the condition that she would be reanimated at the same time as her sister.

19 years pass with both sisters in suspended animation, before they are awoken by energies unleashed by the god of fighting Ogre. Psychically manipulated and compelled by Ogre to resume assassination, Nina Williams now an amnesiac was prompted to kill her new target, Jin Kazama, son of her former assassination target Kazuya Mishima.

Anna without ill side effects from the cryogenic sleep attempts to aid her sister by stopping her from this new outside influence. At a later date Nina seeks to try to recover many of her lost memories and so arranges a meeting with Anna. The two end up fighting somewhat typically however in a gunfight that lasts over multiple days. Anna eventually affiliates herself with the G Corporation.
