Kori Morishita

Origin

A resident of Yu Dao Colony in Earth Kingdom. Yu Dao Colony is a Fire Nation Colony, and Kori’s father Morishita is the Mayor of Yu Dao. With Fire Lord Ozai defeated, and Harmony Restoration Movement in act, a process which forces out Fire Kingdom occupation of the Earth King, complications arise in the colonies. This is mainly due to many of the Fire Nation residents having lived in their colonies for so long that they knew no other way to live, and were too integrated into their life and home to give it up. Kori in particular angry at Fire Lord Zuko, for his role in the movement that will tear her family apart, seeks to assassinate him. Although she fails in her assassination attempt, she does get him o think long and hard about the effects of the Harmony Restoration Movement.  
 

Creation

Kori Morishita first appears in the book Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Promise #1. She is created by Gene YangMichael Dante DiMartinoBryan Konietzko.  
 

Powers and Abilities

Kori is an Earth Bender. She also utilizes a meteor hammer weapon. Her weapon filled with earth, she can also combine her Earth Bending with expert use of the weapon to use with deadly effect.
