Virgulino Ferreira da Silva (Serra Talhada, Pernambuco, June 4, 1898 РPo̤o Redondo, Sergipe, July 28, 1938), better known as Lampịo was one of the most famous bandits in Brazil, associated with the canga̤o in Northeast Region of Brazil, a controversial figure, like many in the Wild West, he is portrayed as a hero or villain, he commanded a group of cangaceiros, as the bandits of the canga̤o are known.
