Lea Thompson

Origin

Lea Thompson in the Marvel Universe was a young actress living in America. Lea managed to gain the female lead-role in Back to the Future and later starred in a number of other prominent films and a tv series. She revealed that she was alos the cousin of Flash Thompson.

Creation

The comic character Lea Thompson is based on the actuall actress Lea Thompson. She had a prominent role in the first Marvel movie; Howard the Duck (directed by George Lucas). In the movie she portrayed Beverly Switzler. However, in comics she is portrayed as herself

Her comic-book counterpart was created by Chip Zdarsky and Joe Quinones and first appeared in Howard the Duck Vol.4 issue 8 (2016). Lea Thompson said in an interview that she was honored to become a character of the Marvel Comics mythology and has fond memories of Howard the Duck.

Major Story Arcs

Meeting Howard

Lea Thompson located Howard the Duck and hired him as her detective for a case involving herself! Lea told Howard that she had black-outs, sometimes up to a week. She had no idea how or why, but she somehow feled drawn towards New York City and Howard.

Eventually, Lea and Howard learn that Lea was kidnapped from time to time by Mojo on a number of ocassions to play “Beverly Switzzler” in a live-action show of Howard the Duck, made by Mojo. After she was done acting, they caused her to lose all memories of the ‘acting-gig’. When they learned about this, Howard and Lea took the fight to Mojo. Lea was brought back to her own home, but this time remembered all. She payed Howard the Duck by transfering money towards him.
