Origin
Apollo was developed by the Seegson Corporation to act as the mainframe for the Sevastopol Station in 2137. It served as the central artificial intelligence that monitored and guided all Seegson “Working Joes” androids aboard the station, oversaw all communications, and also controlled the communications array.
Creation
Apollo was named after Joseph Conrad‘s father, Apollo Korzeniowski, in following with the somewhat ongoing tradition of spacecrafts in the Alien franchise being named after characters or elements taken from Conrad’s novels and short stories.

Alien: Isolation
After a Xenomorph got aboard Sevastopol, Apollo requested a status report from all Seegson synthetics for the last 24 hours. Seegson Working Joe 937, also known as “Chuck,” reported in via a wall-mounted interface, saying he was en route to a task in habitation. Apollo asked Chuck to elaborate, and Chuck explained that he had “received multiple notifications of civilian trespass and vandalism on Seegson property.” Apollo then asked for an assessment of the Colonial Marshals’ capability to contain the current unrest. Chuck stated that it appeared poor and that “Marshal Waits has a drastically reduced force under his command.” Apollo then stated that a Seegson Executive Mandate had flagged Waits as a person of interest and should be watched closely.
