During the Kree White Event, Kree solider Mar-Sohn was given the power of Nightmask. Programmed to fulfill his new duty, he recruited Joras-Kyl and Trrunk, who also became the Cipher and the Justice. His sister, Va-Sohn, later gained the power of the Starbrand, but believing that her duty to the Kree Empire would be hampered by having a conscience and a medium, she killed Mar-Sohn and Trrunk, and spared Joras-Kyle to use for intelligence.
