Marie Batroc is the daughter of the French mercenary, Batroc. At some point, she presumably learned Savate and created a modified version of her father’s costume for herself.
Marie’s first and only mission to date was given to her by Higashi of the Four Winds, who assigned her to work with Jacinda Rodriguez to kill Agent X, Outlaw and Taskmaster. The two women waited for the three on top of a roof, as they fought off mercenaries below. When the Taskmaster made it to the roof, he knocked them both off of the roof and shot them. Marie’s cocreator Gail Simone later confirmed that both she and Tarántula survived their encounter with Taskmaster.
