A magician who is a direct descendant of Merlin the Magician. He used his magic to turn a picnic table and the family of four using it upside down. Zatanna used her magic to return the picnic table and family back to normal. He then casted an illusion of Excalibur in the stone which Zatanna tried to remove. In the process Zatanna was encased in a Bewitched Rock. With no way to free herself she uses her magic to create a phantom Zatanna lokk-alike to search the Earth for a direct descendant of King Arthur. A small child who was a descendant of King Arthur was found in Southern Wales celebrating his second birthday when he vanished and appeared at the location of the entrapped Zatanna. The child removed her from the stone by pulling her hair. Zatanna returned the child to his home and vowed to settle the score with Merba.
