Professor Randolph Ormsby joins the Doom Patrol on a trip into space in order to study a huge meteor. As luck would have it, the space rock turns Ormsby into a living version of itself and, when they return to earth, the now towering astronomer goes on a rampage. The powerful Meteor Man is restored to normal by the superheroes, and has not been seen since.
