Michael Brom is a private detective turned monster hunter. His powers come from 12 runes, symbols of the Zodiac, which each provide an arcane power and appear as tattoos along his forearms.
He is accompanied in his travels by Clive, a reanimated corpse he keeps within the trunk of his car, who helps advise him on all things paranormal.
