Adams father was Otto Orion – the best hunter his home planet of Simballi had to offer and also later on in its ruler. In search of new prey Otto tries to hunt the Legion of Super-Heroes against which he meets his death. Adam taking the death of his father badly swears to continue his father’s mission and earn his fathers revenge upon his killers. His mission fails when upon seeking his father revenge his plans are thwarted by Bouncing Boy.
After a period of a few years Adam joined a group of like minded individuals in the newly expanded Legion of Super-Villains who where brought together by Nemesis Kid on the planet Orando. Adam also served as a member of Superman-Prime‘s Legion of Super-Villains and Saturn Queen‘s LOSV when she was serving the Blue Entity.
