Major Story Arcs
Missus Dugan bakes a pie and then places it on her window sill to cool. It almost immediately goes missing. She calls for help and Charlie and Mortimer arrive as detectives. Missus Dugan is completely satisfied when Charlie finds a marble on the window sill and explains that the pie was taken by a trade rat – a thief that takes things and trades a trinket to make it “okay.” Missus Dugan does not realize that Charlie has strawberry stains on his shirt before he and Mortimer walk away.
