Momaw Nadon

First seen in the Mos Eisley cantina in Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope, Momaw Nadon has since had a solo story in the novel Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, and comic book appearances in Star Wars (Dark Horse adaptation of the Star Wars Special Edition), Star Wars Tales, Tag & Bink, and Star Wars: Chewbacca

Momaw Nadon lived in the slums of Mos Eisley, using his small dwelling to grow and breed plant life, he also acted as a recruiter for the Rebel Alliance, listening in on conversations and making new contacts in the Mos Eisley Cantina. Momaw found himself under suspician from the local Imperial garrison, and was ultimately forced to kill the Imperial in charge of Mos Eisley. Momaw detests violence and was feeling very guilty for the death of the Imperial Officer, and thus took a DNA sample from the Imperial which he used to create two clones, who Momaw Raised as his own adopted children.

Momaw Nadon was approached by Luke Skywalker to be a part of the New Jedi Order, he briefly joined, but ultimately refused, stating that he detests violence, and violence is a large part of a Jedi’s life.

Sometime later Momaw became High Priest of the Itorian people, but during the Yuuzhan Vong War, Momaw stepped down and went into self exile, ashamed he had led his people into war albeit for a good cause.
