Mrs Gunderson is a Mega-City One resident and appears in the 2000AD and Megazine world of Judge Dredd.
Resident of Apartment 133b and one-time landlady to a Mr Jay De’ath (or Judge Death as he is really know), Mrs Gunderson is nearly blind and doesn’t know who her lodger really is, a fact which spares her life.
When Death is later recaptured, Mrs Gunderson is sent in to his containment unit so the Judges can find out why she was never originally killed by the Dark Judge. Still blissfully unaware of who her ex-tenant is, Death possesses and threatens to kill her, but the Mega-City Judges call his bluff. Unable to take her life, Death declares her innocent, leaves her body and returns to his containment prison. Mrs G returns, alive, to her boarding house.
Occassionally turning up in 2000AD and the Megazine, Mrs Gunderson still manages to get herself into all sorts of scrapes with perps and criminals, blissfully unaware of what is going on around her.
