Princess of Lystria. She became the next in line of the throne when her father was murdered by Thraxian invaders. She led a small group of guerillas to repel them but to no avail for a time. When Captain Dan Dare crashed on her planet, he became a valuable tool to help the resistance. Myriad was not enthusiastic about him at first, but as he fought by her side in each battle she eventually grew to respect him.
She eventually got injured by shrapnel and had to be hospitalized for the rest of rebellion. When Dan and his friends finally stopped the Thraxians, she was healed and offered her planet as their second home as thanks for saving her people.
Powers and Abilities
Princess Myriad – The princess has a great grasp in hand to hand combat. In battle, she uses a whip-like weapon that she uses to disorient or kill her foes. Apparently, it is a royal custom to learn how to use this type of weapon along with the basics in martial arts. Regardless of gender.
Another unique attribute the Lystrian woman has is the ability to decipher other alien languages instantly as Dan Dare had no problem in speaking to her and understanding in what she is saying.
She also is very durable. Her species biology has given them a better tolerance to pain and injuries. When she was struck in the face by a blast from a gunship, she was hurt but still able to speak even though a blast at that proximity would blown most of her face off if compared to humans. She healed quickly too from said injury after being put in a gurney and tended for by her rebel team while Dan Dare took her place as commander. After the Thraxian’s were defeated, Myriad was up and talking to Captain Dare like nothing happened.
