Phillip Anderson

Biography (Film)

Phillip Anderson was one of the teenagers at Westin Hill Asylum who had been being stalked by Freddy Krueger. In contrast to the others, he was skeptical that something supernatural was occurring. Phillip had a sarcastic personality and seemed to be at odds with his fellow patient Kincaid. Phillip’s hobby involved making puppets out of clay. Unfortunately, this would prove to be his undoing.

Late one night, Freddy Krueger possessed one of Phillip’s puppets, then grew to normal size and used his claws to rip open Phillip’s feet and wrists, then pulled out his veins. Krueger then dangled him around on his veins like a giant puppet, before throwing him off a tower. Phillip’s death was ruled a suicide, even though his fellow patients knew the truth.

Comics

Phillip appears in Innovation’s series Nightmares on Elm Street as a member of the Dream Warriors, even though in the film he died before the formation of the team. His hair and clothes differ considerably from the film. Phillip is shown being flown around by his veins/strings, although it is never shown what is holding him up. He appears to have greater knowledge of the dream world than most of his teammates with the exception of Will.
