Pit made his first appearance in the game Kid Icarus. While Zelda was based on Medieval lore and Metroid was based on the SciFi genre, Kid Icarus was based on Greek Mythology. It had a sequel on the GameBoy and was never heard from again until Super Smash Bros Brawl. A new game is in the works for the Wii.Â
