Origin
Quentin Turnbull blamed Jonah Hex for the death of his son, Jeb, at the Fort Charlotte Massacre during the Civil War.
Following the war, he dedicated his life towards avenging his son’s death. To that end, he employed the likes of Ned Landon and the Chameleon to frame Jonah Hex for crimes that he didn’t commit.

During the events of the Blackest Night, Quentin Turnbull is one of the many reanimated as a Black Lantern. He works together with Black Lantern Hex, in order to track down his own great-great-grandson, Joshua, and manages to kill him.

Jonah Hex (2010)
In the movie, famed actor John Malkovich starred as Turnbull as the film’s main villain. Motivated in the same way as in the comic books, Initially a wealthy Southern plantation owner, after his son is killed during the Civil War, he blames Hex, and swears revenge. The adaptation was released on June 18, 2010.
Legends of Tomorrow
Quentin Turnbull is mentioned by Rip Hunter as he refers to Turnbull as an arch enemy to Hex. Turnbull is portrayed by Jeff Fahey in the second season.
