Sabu Dastagir (27 January 1924 â 2 December 1963) was an Indian film actor. He played Toomai in Elephant Boy (1937), based on Rudyart Kipling‘s story, Abu in Thief of Bagdad (1940) and Mowgli in The Jungle Book (1942), also inspired by Kipling’s work.
