The Sergeant Preston of the Yukon television series ran for three seasons from 1955-1958. Sergeant Preston was played by Dick Simmons. This mountie was aided by his wonder dog, Yukon King. Sergeant Preston had three famous lines that he delivered throughout the course of the series. The first one was given when he was having his team of dogs lead him on a chase and he would say, “On, you Huskies”. The second one was delivered to the bad guys when he was placing them under arrest. He would tell them, You’re under arrest in the name of the Crown”. The final famous line was delivered at the end of almost every show. After he locked up the criminals, Sergeant Preston would turn to his lead Huskie, Yukon King, and he would say, “This case is closed, King”.
