“Finally, my years of waiting are at an end!
“I was just a humble student when I encountered the legends of Babylon – – of the gods who came before the Olympians. Before Osiris and the gods of Egypt.
“It was then I first learned of Tiamat, the dreaded Snake Goddess, the dark mother of chaos.
“The more I learned, the more my thirst for knowledge grew – -thirst for lost truths, dark secrets and forgotten power.
“All those things. I found and shared with you. my sisters. They bound us together. Bound us to Tiamat.”
Very little is known of the Snake Woman, also known as the Serpent Queen. In her one and only appearance to date, in Justice League Adventures #2 – More Human Than Human, she seems to be a general, leading her small band of snake women. Her goal is to throw the world back into chaos. Her reasoning, “As embracing Order has lead to the brink of destruction, embracing Chaos can only lead to salvation!”
She intends to carry out her plan by reanimating dinosaur bones at the museum. Her minions a distraction at various different locations for the Justice League, as she carries out her plan.
While her minions need to use staves to wield magic, Snake Woman can cast spells herself, without the use of a staff.
