Origin
Aimi is a shy and very timid girl living in Gray City. One night when walking home she encountered De-Mo who gave her the Magic Eye Shadow. She was at first afraid of him due to being a demon, but he rubbed some of the eyeshadow on her and she became Shadow Lady. She then choose to become a thief and tell the police when she was pulling her heists. De-Mo also decided to help her and disguises himself as her fake little brother. When not a thief she is seen working in a cafe.
Alternate Stories
Another World
In “Another World”, Aimi is an eighteen year old, shy, and physically inept high school student with low self-esteem, who also has a crush on Bright Honda, a transfer student. In order to give her a confidence boost (and to let her have some fun), Aimi’s grandmother gives her the magic eyeshadow (which was a family heirloom), and Aimi transforms into Shadow Lady. To keep an eye on her, Aimi’s grandmother also sprinkles some magic dust on one of Aimi’s stuffed dolls and temporarily brings it to life as De-Mo, who acts as her sidekick in her brief misadventures. Though at first she is interested in mischief-making, Aimi/Shadow Lady eventually thwarts a jewel thief, which causes Bright to fall in love with Shadow Lady (much to Aimi’s dismay) by the end of the comic.
4C Illustration
In Masakazu Katsura’s Illustration book it contained a five part mini manga with another alternate story. In this world Aimi lost her parents at a young age and had to live with her grandfather. He then passed away two years ago and few years later was told his house was going to be torn down. Sad at the though of her childhood home being torn down decided to go and collect some of the things left in the house. When she arrived she found many animals inside the house. She then into the basement and found a mysterious makeup set. She decided to put it on and became Shadow Lady and decided to become a thief. In this world she was only seen in her other outfits instead of her traditional outfit.
Powers and Abilities
When Aimi puts on the Magic Eye Shadow she can become Shadow Lady. She also can fly and change her outfits when she puts on a different colored eye shadow. She has so far shown shown six different outfits matching a color. It is unknown if she had more due to the manga being cancelled. So it was never revaled. But the two other forms were shwon in his Illustration book 4C.
Midnight Black Shadow
Midnight Black is her normal outfit. This outfit gives her the ability to fly and move fast.
Crimson Cat Shadow
In this form she is given claws, a tail, and the reflexes of a cat.
Sapphire Bird Shadow
In this form she is given wings to fly. It appeared in the first manga, and in the 4C Illustration manga.
Saffron Bunny Shadow
In this form she can really fast and jump incredible heights.
Rosy Flower Shadow
In this form she can create a stun powder from her body. This form only appeared in the 4C Illustration Manga
Mauve Queen Bee Shadow
This form is probably her strongest form seen. In this form she has wings, and two stingers on her arms. This form only appeared in the 4C Illustration Manga
