Spartan (スパルタン, Suparutan) is an antagonist in the One Piece series that was created by Eiichiro Oda. The series first began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump on August 4, 1997. He would later appear in the Dressrosa Arc that began in Volume ??.
His first appearance was in One Piece Volume ?? CH. 703 “Waiting Room”,

Spartan was offended when he saw a young man wearing a fake beard entering the tournament Corrida Colosseum for the Flame-Flame Fruit. When he tried to throw the scrawny guy out, the young man easily flipped him off his feet and he crashed to the ground unconscious.
