Jacob Bierce was on the run from the law when he decided to locate the Old Witch, about whom he had heard. She agreed to grant him immortality in exchange for his soul. Unfortunately, what Bierce did not realize was that immortality does not necessarily mean living forever. Now he roams as the Deadlander feeling every wound knowing none of them will end his existence and forced to do as the Old Witch desires.
