His wife and children were murdered by Philip Hollingsworth. In court, Hollingsworth was appointed a judge who was bribed by Hollingsworth’s family to get him free. Shortly after the acquittal, the former Texas Ranger shot the corrupt judge and Hollingsworth. He became the Ranger.
The Ranger was tasked by Bel Solomon to hunt down the rest of the Chosen.
