Origin
The Red Devil was an actor hired to stage a robbery that would be “foiled” by Sally Jupiter, the first Silk Spectre. The robbery was a PR stunt arranged Silk Spectre’s agent Larry Schexnayder.

The Red Devil was created by Darwyn Cooke and first appeared in Before Watchmen: Minutemen #1 (2012).
