Origin
Jon Kennedy Payne’s father died a soldier in the Korean War, leaving Jon to be raised by his mother. Then 18 years later, Jon had a daughter named Tina. Then 2 years later, Jon became enraged at a man who attempted to burn a flag at a protest, and killed him. Jon was sent to prison for life, but he was given a chance at a full pardon. Dr. Thomas Woolf offered Jon a place in his experiment.
Jon was subjected to LSD-25, deep hypnosis and sensory deprivation. He was given extended physical training and became a deadly weapon for the CIA. But Dr. Woolf over did it and Jon snapped and turned on everything he felt was un-american, leading to Dr. Wolf giving him the nickname, The Ugly American.

Jon breaks out prison and attempts to find Tina, but when he does he learns his daughter is married to a foreigner. He goes bezerk, and heads up going toe to toe with the Batman. Jon seems to be winning, but then the CIA agents who is tracking Jon, shoots him in the head killing him.
