He had no family, friends, job or future. He was bored with his life. He volunteered for an exploration mission that would bring him to the End of the Universe, its outer limits. There was a good chance that he would not return alive. He did not really care. Â

He did reach the End of the Universe and there its secret. He returned to Earth with a huge smile and the phrase “I Know”. Unfortunately he could not transmit whatever knowledge he gained. His brain had been fried from the experience. The scientists who employed him realized that the secret was beyond human capacity to comprehend.
