Wakisaka (脇坂, Wakisaka) is a supporting character of the manga series Highschool of the Dead that was written by Daisuke Sato and illustrated by Shouji Sato. The series first began serialization in Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine in July 2006.
His first appearance was in Hightschool of the Dead Volume 1 CH. 1 “Spring of the Dead”.

His first anime appearance was in Highschool of the Dead – Episode 1 “Spring of the Dead”. His character in the Japanese series is voiced by Binbin Takaoka , and the U.S. dub produced by Section 23 hasn’t been credited yet. In the English publication of the series done by Yen Press, Wakisaka was described as the Grammar teacher, but the official subtitled version that was aired on Anime Network he was described as being the Modern Japanese teacher. Wakisaka is a character who has never been shown before his change.
