Wraith

Voiced by the magnificent Tony Jay, Wraith is probably the only competent henchman of Lord Dragaunus on Mighty Ducks. Unfortunately, despite his wisdom, he is rarely listened to, because he believes in using dark magic and sorcery, whereas Dragaunus insists on modern technology. He makes psychic predictions as well as sarcastic comments, and can wield fire.

Because of his boss’s preference for technology, Wraith rarely gets to showcase his dark powers. In the episode “Phil In The Blank,” he casts a mind-control spell on Phil, using the trigger phrase “roast duck.” Whenever Phil was contacted by the Saurians and heard this phrase, he would go into an obedient trance, and follow Wraith’s orders, then remember nothing. Wraith used Phil to get the Ducks to make various public appearances that were really traps, but the Saurians continued to bungle their missions. Eventually, the Ducks found a way to break the spell and free Phil from Wraith’s control.

“Alright, let’s pluck some duck!”
Wraith: “I have a better idea, Siege; let’s ROAST them.”

Wraith: “I fear this plan may have grave consequences.”
Siege: “What makes you so sure?”
Wraith: “Oh, call it a gloomy premonition.”

Siege: “YOU MEATHEAD, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”
Wraith: “Sending the ducks to a molten doom!”
Chameleon: “And us along with ’em!”
Wraith: “Oh, my phone psychic said it would be a bad day.”
