Ya’aka is a being created through sheer force of will by Nimraa during that being’s time in exile following the death of Dark Earth.
Creation
Ya’aka was created by JM DeMatteis and Yvel Guichet. He made his first appearance in Trinity of Sin #1.
Major Story Arcs
The Wages of Sin
Ya’aka is sent by Nimraa to attack The Question in Chicago. He kills and impersonates Question’s landlady, before attacking Question himself. The pair fight, and Ya’aka is stabbed through the mouth with Question’s Spear of Inquisition. He survives the blow, but Question is teleported away before he can press his advantage. He regroups with Nimraa’s other servants and joins in the renewed assault on the Trinity of Sin. Later, he is present when the Trinity absorbs and destroys Dark Earth.
Powers and Abilities
Ya’aka has four arms, wings, and horns, and is capable of breathing fire. He is superhumanly strong and durable and is a powerful hand-to-hand fighter. He appears to be capable of shapeshifting.
