The Nuclear Football
Hailee and her brother, Henry, lived in Las Vegas after the Unknown War turned the United States into an irradiated dystopia. Their wage slave mother had stolen a Nuclear Football from The King’s knights, hoping to trade it for shelter for her and her two kids at NORAD, where the surviving members of the US government were sheltering. Unfortunately, she was found out and executed. Thankfully, Hailee and Henry were able to sneak out with it. They came across Geiger, the rumored “Glowing Man,” who reluctantly decided to protect them on their quest to Colorado.
Upon arriving at NORAD, Hailee panicked after hearing the doctors diagnosed Henry with leukemia. According to them, they did not have the resources to manage Henry’s condition and would opt to mercy kill him. She was able to reach Geiger for help as he was sneaking away. He decided to protect the two kids, eventually facing off against Junkyard Joe, NORAD’s robot security. After a brutal fight, Geiger beat the robot and decided to bring the kids to the scientists who had originally helped him with his own condition.
