Jupiter Evans

Origin

As a child in Shadwell, a plantation in Charlottesville, Virginia, Jupiter was a friend of Thomas Jefferson. When Jupiter’s parents were sold to another plantation, he became inconsolable. Thomas was oblivious to Jupiter’s pain. Jupiter lashed out at Thomas, earning him forty lashes for sassing his master.

In 1757, Thomas inherited Shadwell after his father died. Construction of a new mansion, Monticello, began. Jupiter was asked to remain by Jefferson’s side. Thomas married Martha Wayles, but she died from childbirth. Thomas then began an affair with one his slaves, Sally Hemings. Likewise, Jupiter found happiness with a slave girl named Suck, whom he had a child. However, Thomas sold off Jupiter’s wife and child to another plantation. Going into deep despair, Jupiter was sold to Abigail Adams.

Learning that his former master Thomas Jefferson was near death, Jupiter traveled back to his former master’s estate. There he discovered that multiple vampires had already nearly killed Thomas. Begging for mercy and wishing for a swift death, Jupiter left Thomas behind, not granting him his wish.
