Raza Hamidmi Al-Wazar was created specifically for the 2008 live action motion picture, Iron Man.
He is a terrorist member of the Ten Rings who kidnaps Tony Stark. First standard comic appearance outside of film was in Invincible Iron Man Annual #1, where he is shown working for the Mandarin.
