Rusty Adams was a copy boy at the Daily Herald, bored with his job and hearing about all the gangland activity from the reporters at the Herald he decided to don a costume and fight them as “Crash Kid, boy nemesis to gangdom,” he does this mainly by staying true to his namesake and doing things like commandeering cars, trucks and cabs and crashing them into gang hideouts.
This is surprisingly effective⦠for a short while anyway, as Crash Kid only made two appearances before vanishing from sight.
The only real thing of note about this character is that he may very well be the first comic book character to fight crime while wearing thigh boots as part of his getup, an item of superhero attire that would not really come into vogue until the late 70’s, 30 years after Crash Kid was forgotten / ignored.
