The Other, also called Otto, is the secondary protagonist of the Jim Starlin saga Gilgamesh II. As it name implies, Gilgamesh II is a retold of the epic poem of Gilgamesh as a science fiction story. In this story, the Other is a reinterpretation of Enkimdu.
Story
The Other is the survivor of an alien species in the bring of extincion who was send to earth with the hope to start his race again. His pod landed in the middle of the southamerican jungle, where the Other grew up among the savage animals and defending the wilds from the human depredation.
His actions eventually called for the attention of the leader of the world, the man called Gilgamesh Bonner, who send his operative Agent Bambi, who seduced the Other and called him Otto.
Eventually Otto would meet Gilgamesh and discovered than he was not the only one, as once he believed.
