Actually, that would be an understatement. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the 1972 film, Lady Sings The Blues. The Guinness Book of World Records, in 1993, actually named Diana Ross as the most successful female music artist in history. She has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and can claim an unreal 18 number one hits in the United States.
