Egan Thorpe

Major Story Arcs

Thorpe leaves his family before his daughter Mandy Flynn was born. She grows up without hearing from him in 20 years, but when she becomes known as a detective, he contacts her.

Conflicted, she rides out to the country to talk to him at his tavern. He tells her that there has been a series of gruesome and mysterious murders in the last few weeks, which has led to a lack of sales at the bar, as people hide out at home.

Furious that he contacted her solely over monetary concerns, she leaves in a huff, but continues to investigate the situation with her friends Salem and Bozz anyway. They determine that a series of paintings with occult themes, made by the local Squire Blakblud, have been coming to life at night an terrorizing the area.

They confront him just as his final painting, of Satan himself, is about to come to life. He had made a deal with Hell to let them take over the world, as long as they provided prosperity to their own small village. Nobody else seems to think this is a great idea, but Egan likes it because it means more sales at his pub. He runs off with the painting in an attempt to save it and release Satan, but the detectives manage to get the painting back. Mandy destroys it using Satan’s own hellfire, and punches out her dad for being such a loathsome jerk.
