Finn

History

Finn is perhaps the only full human in the Land of Ooo. He was raised by his best friend Jake‘s parents, and is highly skilled in combat, although his most common tactic is a straight forward assualt. Finn combats the evil Ice King on a near daily basis. Adventuring is what Finn lives for, taking on any quest or challenge. Finn lives in a tree house with Jake, and they have a ridiculous amount of treasure just laying around from their adventuring. He is immensely brave, has a strong sense of justice, and is fiercely loyal to his friends. Finn often expresses affections towards Princess Bubblegum, until he started to date Flame Princess. Although they had a rocky start to their friendship, Finn is also close with Marceline the Vampire. Finn also owns a sentient video game system, BMO.

Creation

Finn the Human first appears as a cartoon character on the Cartoon Network show Adventure Time with Finn and Jake. He was created by Pendleton Ward, show creator. His first appearance in an episode was in the Pilot episode which screened in 2008.

His first appearance in comics was under the comics publisher Boom! Studios, in the comic book Adventure Time. This issue penned by Ryan North with art by Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb.

Abilities and Equipment

Finn is an excellent fighter, both with swords and in unarmed combat. He is surprisingly strong and agile for his age, and possesses some skill in magic that he gained in his adventures. Finn can make his arms and legs bend in inhuman ways, is a great video game player, has a good singing voice, is skilled in making origami, and is ambidextrous.

Finn’s first sword was an ancient golden sword. He has used numerous other swords over time, and has also utilized crossbows. His most recent sword is his Demon Blood Sword given to him by his and Jake’s dad Joshua.
