Frederick had two known siblings, Elizabeth Howlett and Elias Hudson. He co-owned the Hudson Bay Company along with his brother.
Creation
Frederick Hudson was created by Daniel Way and Steve Dillon and first appeared in Wolverine: Origins issue 14 (2007).

A Son out of Wedlock
He cheated on his wife with his secretary, Caitlyn MacDonald, who gave birth to his son, Frederick Hudson Jr. She named her after his father to spite him because he would not leave his wife for her and committed suicide two days later.
It is unknown what happened to him afterwards but his legacy still lives. He is the uncle of Wolverine, grandfather to Truett Hudson, James Hudson, Victor Hudson, and great-grandfather of Guardian.
