Little is known about Lloyd Jefferson’s early life or origin. Originally from Detroit, his mother did not have him educated, leaving him partially illiterate and bitter, and she later abandoned him. After accidentally using his powers to partially destroy a building he was invited by Mr Nobody to join the first incarnation of the Brotherhood of Dada.
Creation
Frenzy was created by Grant Morrison and Richard Case. He made his first appearance in Doom Patrol #24.
Major Story Arcs
The Painting That Ate Paris
As part of the Brotherhood of Dada, Frenzy helps the group steal the Painting That Ate Paris. He joins the group in setting up the painting in Paris, and sucking the entirety of the city into it, themselves included. Inside the painting, he attacks the newly-arrived Doom Patrol, separating the three members to make them easier to defeat. Later, he helps the Brotherhood and the Doom Patrol defeat the Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He, like the other members of the Brotherhood, elects to remain within the painting.
Powers and Abilities
Frenzy has the ability to transform himself into a cyclone, which he can direct as he wishes. Despite this, he generally avoids fighting.
Other Media
Doom Patrol
Frenzy was a member of the Sisterhood Of Dada, and only male member in the present day. Due to his immortality, he would come across much racism through the century he’d been around, something he would share with Cyborg during their battle.
