Gorgon is a member of the Royal Family of the Inhumans. As the only son of architect Korath and archivist Milena, his parents were leading citizens of the Inhumans’ city-state Attilan. Major Story Arcs
Among the Inhumans
The custom among the Inhumans during their teen years is to be exposed to the Terrigen Mists. Gorgon gained increased strength but he underwent a transformation when his feet were transformed to hooves. His hooves were capable of generating highly destructive seismic waves.
In his adult years, Gorgon has become Black Bolt’s personal bodyguard and is responsible for training Inhuman youths recently exposed to the Terrigen Mists in the use of their newly acquired powers and abilities.
Meeting the Fantastic Four
In early adventures, Gorgon first leaves the Inhuman city of Attilan to rescue Medusa who was suffering from amnesia at the time and became lost in the outside world. During his pursuit of the Queen, his actions leads to a battle with the Fantastic Four, who rescued Medusa from the super villain team the Frightful Four.
Over the years, Gorgon and the rest of the Royal Family have several encounters with the Fantastic Four over the years, seeking their aid against foes such as Black Bolt’s brother Maximus, Psycho-Man, and the Sphinx
Silent War
During the Silent War, Gorgon was sent to retrieve the Terrigen Crystals that were originally stolen by Quicksilver and later taken by General Demetrius Lazer leading a black ops group for the US government.. Gorgon led a sleeper cell in an ill-fated attempt to force the humans to return them. He was captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. and was forced to undergo a second exposure to Terrigen Mists. The effects turned him into a monster. He was later rescued and helped in repelling back the US invasion of Attilian.
Infinity and Inhuman
Gorgon remains one of Black Bolt’s most trusted aides, and one of Attilan’s staunchest defenders. After the events of Infinity, when the home-city of Attilan had been brought down into the Hudson river in New York City, Medusa became the leader of the Inhumans, in the absence of Blackbolt. Gorgon remained in the city and became somewhat of a tutor to the new Inhumans that had been popping up all over the world thanks to the release of the Terigan mists.
Powers & Abilities
Gorgon is superhumanly strong and with his low center of gravity makes it impossible to move him off his feet. His current strength since undergoing secondary terregenesis has yet to be revealed although he seems to be more brutish in this form than his previous one. The tissues of Gorgon’s body are somewhat harder and more resistant to injury than those of a human being.
Gorgon can withstand impact and blunt trauma forces that would cripple or kill a human being and suffer from only mild discomfort. Gorgon’s legs are thickly muscled, allowing him to do massive damage by kicking something or someone, or he can use them to create seismic shocks by stomping the ground with his hooves. As a result, Gorgon can generate shock waves with a strength of 7.5 on the Richter Scale, or 9.5 if near a fault line.
Alternate Universes

Marvel Zombies
The entire Inhuman Royal Family has been zombified and has traveled to Kingpin’s domain to eat off his human clones. Machine Man attacks and Gorgon tries to retaliate by stomping the ground. His leg instantly falls off.
Ultimate Universe
The character is female (the sister of Medusa and Crystal) and possesses the added ability to hypnotize people.
Age of Apocalypse
Gorgon and the Inhuman royal family were all killed by Maximus (Death – Horseman of Apocalypse), and were later cloned to serve as his personal bodyguards using the Terrigen Mists to mutate them.
During the invasion of Magneto´s x-men on Apocalypse´s Ship in the blue area of the moon, the Inhumans confronted them. Gorgon was about to attack Magneto but is repelled by Magneto´s powers. It is unknown what happened to him after the match but supposedly he could die when Sunfire destroyed Apocalypse´s Ship.
This version of Gorgon was more like a anthropomorphic bison.
