A-14 and his brother A-12 were two assassins of A.I.M. After he and his brother failed to kill Captain America, M.O.D.O.K. ordered that A-14 be killed, and he gave A-12 a choice: to be transformed into a cyborg, or be killed. A-12 chose to become a Cyborg and continue serving A.I.M.
