History
An ancient demon who has attacked Atlantis since its founding. He was awakened by members of The Silent School, using Atlantean magic. After a conflict with this being, the College of the Silent School became her prison, thanks to the powerful Atlantean wizards, but it could not be destroyed and still had the power to influence the world although in a limited way. One of the people who was influenced by him was Corum Rath.
During the dictatorship of Corum Rath, and when observing that the revolt headed by Aquaman was beginning to win, Corum Rath and Kadaver decide to awaken this being in order to defeat their enemies. Because of this, they attack the College of the Silent School and kill most of the magicians and their leader, the Magister Loke. After that, they awaken this being, who possesses Kadaver and Corum Rath. Through Kadaver, create an army of the undead, who attack the city and the rebellion. Also Corum Rath and Abyssal Dark eliminate the entire council of Atlantis.
When Kadaver is defeated by Aquaman and his allies, and following Arthur and Murk‘s combined attack on Rath, he yields to the full power of Abyssal Dark, gaining an enormous amount of magical abilities. Following the defeat of both at the hands of Aquaman and Mera, thanks to the power imbued by the Elders of Atlantis in Arthur’s Trident, the Abyssal Dark apparently appears destroyed.
